While hanging out with the nieces, I learned that you can take 20 minutes to place a barrette in the right spot in the hairs. I also learned that specific pieces of pineapple contain 'strings', and therefore are inedible. The land of a 4 yo is a wonderous and funny space.
Josephine's hair is almost to her eyebrows, and so soon we'll be ...well, she's not a dress-and-tights kind of girl, so I doubt they'll be anything this festive looking, but we're pretty soon going to graduate to little clips at least to keep the hair out of her eyes... These are cute.
ReplyDeleteThere are really nice, slide-on clips that you don't have to snap like these~I would recommend those at first.
DeleteTruly the world of little girls is a wonder. Soli broke us in easy - she's an "angel." When I first tried to master girls' hair it was with little nieces on the Blair side who stayed with us two weeks. One of the two preschoolers had waist-length very fine straight hair and her sister fine and curly hair. After showering, I spent perhaps an hour brushing and combing out the tangles. Later Cheryl Gramlich stayed with us for a week. She wanted two pony tails with those elastic twisty things with "marbles." It was an engineering feat for me to get them even. I finally resorted to a single braid with elastic and a bow. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteOf course I meant after the girls had showered, and I had helped shampoo their hair (not after I showered).
