Just had a lovely chat with my Aunt E; well, as lovely a chat as you can have with a patient in hospital. She's slightly bored and a bit annoyed that she can't go home. But she said the nurses are kind and taking good care of her and she's enjoying all the phone calls.
Tiny things, but meaningful.
Lowell got home last night in a two-day stretch from Roe Farm, having had to stay overnight north of Vancouver, Washington, to have an alternator repaired. When he and Bob visited E in the hospital, all were rather amused the only available bed was in the maternity ward.
ReplyDeleteAlternator replaced, not repaired! Too bad heart valves can't be purchased and replaced to work as new.
ReplyDeleteYes. Glad Lowell got home okay. (I had a friend on that stranded Amtrak train this week.)
DeleteTalked to Ellen on my way home tonight; this is a sad/tough week.
