Wandered around the Pecan Street Festival today and discovered that it has nothing to do with pecans. Just a typical street fair with vendors and weird foods. But it did give me a chance to wander through the elegant Driskill Hotel and admire the Art Deco details.

...I guess pecans aren't really native to Texas after all, but still! How weird.
ReplyDeleteTexas produced 55 million pounds of pecans last year~right behind Georgia, so you'd think there'd be a praline booth or roasted varieties booth.
