Have always loved words and enjoy a well-crafted sentence. Found one last night in the AFAR magazine describing a hotel: 'it was like a Four Seasons, minus three of them.'
A man can spend his whole existence never learning the simple lesson that he has only one life and that if he fails to do what he wants with it, nobody else really cares.
Heh-heh! (from one who is commenting from a hotel in SLC)
ReplyDeleteI thought it had such a Wodehouse flavour to it!
DeleteOoh, THAT was not a nice review.
ReplyDeleteToday's quote of the day:
A man can spend his whole existence never learning the simple lesson that he has only one life and that if he fails to do what he wants with it, nobody else really cares.
Louis Auchincloss
Isn't it an elegant and pithy way to state it, though?!
