My one glimpse of DC; can't wait to return and revisit many of the monuments and such.
Absolutely fell for the neighborhood around Georgetown University. Methinks it would be a lovely place to live.
Part of said Uni.
The ever stately National Cathedral; some day I shall tell of being in one of those towers and interrupting a board meeting.
Bemused little boy and happy mama taking shelter from the rain, under the bamboos.
Princes are everywhere, if you just look.
More bits of spring.
Lovely daffies.
Was impressed with the roaring tiger at the Washington National Zoo (free admission--part of the Smithsonian!!), it bellowed when we were arriving and was still going strong when we left.
Oy vay; these tourists.
Can't wait until 'Phew 3 is talking and we can hear the thoughts that match all these facial expressions.
Meeting the tamarind guy.
We had much fun making up conversation for the two that were in this display.
Just such sweetness.
Meerkat!!
Yin & Yang.
Little giggles for the paparazzi that kept showing up.
Of all the exotic animals and wonderful exhibits, the best bit of the day was down on the farm. Five little donkeys were hanging out, waiting for an audience.
Giuseppe groomed himself.
And once he was ready and we were all watching, he zipped around the pen terrorizing and nipping all the others.
And with that, it was time for our exit from the zoo. For this visit anyway.
Now I know why directions were slow in coming! I kept hearing "clicks"!!
