Sleep is a precarious and precious thing~most of us don't even get close to the amount we want/need/crave; whether it's a snoring spouse, bouncy pets/children, wacky hormones, or an active brain~the nights are too short.
For three weeks now, I've been fortunate enough to be sleeping 12+ (yes, consecutive) hours per night. Had no idea that I was so tired from the school year.
Although, this bliss has come to a shrieking/thudding halt with the development and construction of the six lots behind my bedroom~it was lovely while it lasted.
Yes, you were fatigued. So happy for a few nights with 12 hours. Of all people, I know about sleep deprivation, and I'm sorry the construction is interfering.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying this summer of sleep!
DeleteThe people with leaf blowers and edgers, for the most part, aren't interested in working in the heat of the day, I guess, so this explains them out at 7 a.m., but...
ReplyDeleteWe watched some guys "leaf blow" a clean sidewalk for three hours yesterday. Must be they need so many hours clocked, but it was ridiculous.
DeleteI qualify for almost all reasons above...yikes! Glad someone is getting sleep! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd now the water pipes are "hammering". I keep telling management (both for the annoying noise & because I don't want the pipes to explode into my closet), but they're ignoring this.
