Such a bizarre place for a watermelon plant~although, maybe quite handy~grab some produce on your way in from the car.
Although I am still getting tan lines from my daily walks, some of the trees are getting an October attitude.

Actually, front yards themselves are kind of ridiculous, in light of the fact that I have always believed that front lawns are a colossal waste of water. Back lawns, fine; those you can sunbathe upon and sit at your leisure. Front lawns... are pointless shows for the neighbors. I'd rather use that space to grow melons and corn OR, better? Put up a WALL.

I love the European model of building one's house right to the sidewalk & having a huge inner courtyard. Never understood large front lawns.
