ice, ice, baby

Some interesting pods that I see for several miles along the trail. Wonder what will come out of them this spring?

Still icy, but the sun has returned for a few hours.

And when you're iced in, you start to rearrange your books by colour. Not sure if I'll leave them this way, but they're pretty to look at for now.

  1. An acquaintance of ours in the UK has an... icicle machine. He attached a roller to his porch roof that turns based on the weight of the frozen water, so he can have longer, more rippled icicles.

Yes, winter gives us some strange occupations... not the least of which is reorganizing books. I don't have enough really colorful books for that type of thing to work out; too many paperbacks, probably, and the hardbacks all have some element of black to them, so it's all variations on a theme, with few exceptions. This year, Panetone's color of the year is a vibrant purple, so I expect book covers in next year's Cybils haul to follow suit color-wise. That should at least make things interesting... meanwhile, I think I'll donate this last haul - their colors don't do anything for my shelves. ;)

    1. Bigger icicles! That's a new one.

My music textbooks are all tan and black, so there wasn't much to do with those shelves. The ESL texts are all neon primary colours, so those are hidden as they're just annoying. Purple would be fun!!
