Even the kitty is bummed that we've no sunshine today. Ah well, it was a good day to hang out at the mechanic's and get the brake pads replaced.
And my garden (and most of the county) needed some moisture.
Have learned to take the flash flood warnings very seriously 'round here.
And now, with all the windows open, it's time to take nap~soothed by the sound of water.
First affordable cherries of the summer!
Poor Bogart's suntan will no doubt fade by a sunless day. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, and that sunless tanner just makes his fur turn a weird orange colour.
DeleteThere's a fruit stand in Dixon that is a small paradise; yesterday D. spent a good chunk'o'cash getting smoked almonds (wasabi and jalapeno), nectarines, plums (a five pound plum is just kind of scary-sized), peaches, and cherries, glorious cherries.
ReplyDeleteI had a nectarine shake with almond milk, and called it dinner.
It's ruddy cold again today - I'm just freezin' in this fog! - but it tops 85 in Vacaville almost every day. Not sure which is better, but they had fog yesterday, too! Definitely in response to NY's weather we're getting cooler over here...
Sounds like a great fruit stand! These cherries were delicious~now it feels like summer.
