red, white and...

Baby red potatoes getting ready for transformation into potato salad.

 Two cents found!

Sorry, no blue for the final shot of this trio~maybe today I'll find something blue.  Decided to begin early with the picnic food~as the 'big shots down at the hot dog factory and the big shots at the bun factory got together and decided to rip off the American people'.  (Name that movie!)

Baking raspberry brownies to take to one of the very few vegetarian grill parties in Texas.  It's a bit hazy this morning; hope it clears in time for the symphony and the fireworks.

Happy 4th!

    1. I know, but I laughed as there were SIX hot dogs in the package and 8 buns in the other package. Would be better if it were the other way around.

  2. Your potato salad looks good!!
And I would never have gotten the movie reference; I've lost the ability to remember movies anymore, which is sad!

  3. Great food - glad you had a way to celebrate in TX - "perfect ratio" isn't always easy to achieve. And congratulations to Linda for naming the movie. I've seen it (don't know how long ago) - wouldn't have recognized the allusion. Great times the 4th and over the weekend with Steve's and Justine's family on a "sleepover" before Rane's flight today to LA and plans to be with Tim's family tomorrow. Wish you weren't so far away, Laurie - and Linda too. Enjoy your blogs. We were out of Internet service about 24 hours. Glad Steve was here to straighten things out for us!
