I found these cool dice at the dollar store and am using them in my ESL classes. My students sometimes find that it's easier to define words using their opposite definition~can you guess which vocab word inspired this drawing?

Hahahaha... vivid!?! Remind me not to play Pictionary with any of these people... that looks like alive/dead or animate/inanimate to me!!!
ReplyDeleteI daresay you'd be okay as you'd have our vocab list. So, you'd have at least 30 or so words from which to guess.
ReplyDeleteWhen we hit a new word, I use it in a couple of sentences/phrases and we talk about what other connected words they might know. Today was 'alive' and 'lively' and I used the phrases 'vivid memory' and 'vivid personality'. So, I can see why dead came up as the opposite.
We were all laughing so hard by the end of that round that I KNOW they will always remember this word!
