I love words. I love chocolate. So, what better way to kick off the week than to learn "brigadeiros" which equals delicious chocolate truffles?
Vanessa (one of my students in the cooking elective) made them and brought them in to share! Comer! Mangia! Bon appetit!
There is a brigadeiros shop in SF that I like to use for professional-type gifts. I've never actually eaten them, just sent them to people. I don't know; I'm not a huge fan of sprinkles (even in the Netherlands I was like, "Um, pass," because they usually taste like wax to me), but people seem addicted here.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of them~had the rum balls from Denmark. And yes, the sprinkles ARE wax and I would punch up the chocolate. I prefer intensity and flavor over simply sweet.
ReplyDeleteBut. Am glad that she brought them because we're doing truffle rolling next week and she can lead out a section!
