farm to table

Well, more like veg patch to bowl~but it was tasty.

Went to water the garden patch where I'm house-sitting and found a bounty of tomatoes and basil.

Rather icky photo, but this marinara sauce made for a delicious dinner.

  1. I have to figure out what grows well with a lot of fog. We have roses... which is stupid, because they blight in too much moisture. I'm going to try something simple like Icelandic poppies, bc those, at least, like it cold. Most herbs seem to like a bit more sun and a bit less wind, but we'll see what we can do... eventually. I wish I had basil and etc.! But, next year.

    1. Pop across the bridge & talk with the peeps at Sunset! They'd have all kinds of solid suggestions for your micro-climate.
