quiet yet productive

On one level, deeply bummed that I wasn't able to march in DC today~on the other level, deeply grateful for a full day of subbing music lesson. And? As a bonus, they were mostly voice students instead of the tediousness of piano lessons. (To be fair, there are some fun piano lessons, but usually when a student signs up for voice, it is because it is their choice and not something artful foisted upon them.)

Time for change.

  1. Yes, I did wonder how those two groups broke down: those taking lessons for love of music, and those... whose familia wish for them to be more accomplished.

    1. I fully support the concept that anyone should have a foundation of piano lessons~it's just easier to learn how to actually read music on the piano than other instruments.

That being said, it is usually a lot more fun to teach the second instrument because it's what the student is choosing.

I'm in love with one of my new students because for the first time ever~I get to teach all three of my areas to the same student!
