While I enjoy a stormy beach, I had hoped to get several more good beach walks in (and yes, I can walk in the rain, it's just not quite as fun when one has a limited wardrobe/shoes packed).
Within a couple of hours, we had brilliant skies.
In addition to the usual gulls, there were seals, pelicans, and several dolphins frolicking about the day.
Housekeeping had a sense of whimsy with their chores.
This was the moment when my Littles called to belt out Happy Birthday~one of those moments of exquisite happiness.
Soaking up every last bit of sea spray before I head into a week with double shifts and a move.
The ending from Stuart Little seems apt for this transition ahead~"The sun was just coming up over the hills on his right. As he peered ahead into the great land that stretched before him, the way seemed long. But the sky was bright, and he somehow felt he was headed in the right direction."
A beautiful beach. Good luck with your work this week.
