Belong. Believe. Become.

Is the slogan of my new EMPLOYER.  I begin immediately as the choir/drama/hall adult at my second St. Margaret's.

I wish that while I'm in the process that I would remember that this is always how my life has unfolded.  Two weeks ago, I saw a fb blurb about a Baroque concert at St. David's (Episcopal church in downtown Austin). While there, I ended up sitting next to a musician with whom I had produced Wonka earlier this spring.  We chatted and caught up~mentioned that I was job hunting on the east coast.  Two days later, she texted me about this opening~in a town of which I'd never heard.  Sent off my cover letter/resume and didn't hear a thing.  I called and left a message.  They asked me to resubmit my resume.  Had a phone interview somewhere in the middle of Mississippi.  That went well enough, I invited myself to campus for a tour.  Had four hours worth of interviews on Monday.  Due to meetings and references being in different time zones, have been waiting for the call.

Which, of course came while we were swimming.

I breathe a sigh of relief as my new lily pad has appeared and it's quite lovely.  Time to celebrate!!!!

  4. Wowzie! Sounds too good to be true - although you have no reason to exaggerate on something this critical. I'm really happy for you, Laurie!
