All Hallows' Eve

Difficult to see, but I got myself a rug for the bathroom to celebrate one month in this space.

Yes, it glitters!!! But it is also super soft.

The ESL students were somewhat confused by Halloween, but they enjoyed these cupcakes made by one of the teachers and quickly learned to come to my desk for mini candy bars. Hours away from the best month of the year!!!

  1. Hah. I suspect skeletons on your candy would be as confusing as... oh, Swart Piet to Americans. You kind of shake your head and ask, "Wha...t?" and eat the candy provided anyway.

    1. I did have a good chat with a couple of students about Dia de Los Muertos and the religious background of All Saints. But yeah, it's just a commercialized holiday now.

  2. I like your rug. Yes, Halloween is just another commercial holiday! We only had the girls across the street come.
