lovely summer days

Happy little flower poking through the dried mud.

After almost a full year of Austin living, finally made it out and into Lake Travis.

Mansfield Dam at the one end.

Love both sun and moon light paths on water.

My new summertime friends!

A view from the Formula something something boat.  All I know is the engine was loud and it went about 60 mph.  And yes!  I did drive it.   And was surprised by how much fun it was~have kinda been a sailing snob.

Water is quite low this year and it's still the beginning of the summer.

Whimsical pelican on the pier.

  1. ☺ I think you're only allowed to be a sailing snob if you can actually sail - not if you just sit on the boat, tanning your legs, whilst everyone else does the work.

I hate loud boats, but I daresay fast is fun.

  2. Sailing or motor-boating? Sailing isn't usually very loud unless there's an emergency resulting in noise from the elements and shouting!

  3. Re-read your blog. Didn't mean you were confused about sail or motor boats. Didn't understand if you hated sailing or had never wanted to do it. Glad you have friends you can hang out with - not sure if it's a work thing or not. I love to motor-boat but never got good at water skiing. We're having a chilly/rainy spell here. Wish you were on vacation now. Love the city of Austin. Hope your summer isn't stressful.

    1. LOVE sailing. And still prefer it to power boats. Different crowd/vibe. After this week, in which I'm juggling multiple gigs, things will slow down for a couple of weeks.
