My brother jokes about the $89 tomatoes grown on balconies; this one is nowhere that price and there are more ripening.
The thrill of picking one's own dinner is priceless. My new balcony has western exposure, I think. Will be interesting to see how it affects my eastern situated plants.
I may have to do a late Yellow Boy planting when we move in August, since you know summer in North/Central can last until November. Wow. That is one beautiful salad.
ReplyDeleteYou need to have my new dressing - add a tablespoon of tapenade to your regular vinegar and oil dressing, and a blob of mustard and freshly grated black pepper - so delish.
Ooo! I have some artichoke tapenade to use up~will try that for lunch today.
DeleteAnd yes, I remember coming to Cali from WWC for Thanksgiving and having fresh tomatoes from the garden.
