Austin City Limits

It's my last night as an official Austin citizen (although, I have a hunch I'll be back a lot to visit).  While I have loved this state (who knew?  Of the nine states {so far} that I've lived in, this one has resonated), it is time for a new chapter.

Although, maybe I could avoid the sky-rocketing rents here and just live in this cube!  A little plumbing and some a/c, and it would work.

It's a little daunting to load one's worldly goods into a crate, not knowing when/where they'll be unloaded.

But many things have occurred~both at a personal and a career level~that it seems like an auspicious time to go and watch my VA Little grow up.

I am choosing to be more than the Christmas Auntie or the auntie who sends books.

And so, for now, I close the chapter on Austin.  Thanks for the memories!

  1. Over the next few weeks, it'll help to remember that you made this choice for a reason. Here's to owning what we truly want. Bon voyage, bonne chance!

    1. Thank you!! Lying on the floor, breathing into a paper bag at present.

  2. Thinking of you - breathing too (although not into a paper bag). Josh and Allie will love having you around. Hoping for good news on a job.
