nuclear fusion?

For endless renewable energy, scientists ought to be studying the toddler/K crowd. I could not believe the energy of 7 four-year olds who gathered for a party this morning.

While they rampaged through the house, I got to hang out with my little CupKate. She's standing now and juuuust on the verge of walking.  She's also growing her teeth and is feeling a bit fussy, so she seemed to enjoy being in a quieter space in the house.

Someone's very excited about her doughnut cake.

Action shots.

Always helpful to have a sibling who opens presents with for you...

Enjoying the bouncy ball from Nana and Boppa.

Someone wouldn't hold still to pose on her gift.

When my counter resembles deconstructed salsa, I know it's gonna be a good week. Even if more snows come mid-week.

  1. Wouldn't it be brilliant to be able to harness that energy! Yikes! It makes red bull seem like a cup of mint tea!!

    1. Brilliant and scary if you suddenly had adults with that much energy!

  2. Aww, those bouncy balls are so fun. I have to admit that I got a massive gym ball just to recreate the sensation.

    1. Oooo, I need to replace my giant ball just for the stretching out of the back muscles.

    2. ...theoretically D is meant to sit on it for his lower back.
Realistically, I bounce on it because it has sand in it and is super fun and HEAVY and reminds me of childhood.

  3. With Allie four and Kate learning to walk, I remember the incredible energy that goes into growing brains and bodies manifests itself in ways you pictured. On the other hand, I am moving at the pace of a snail.
