impossible things

Saw an incredible film this weekend.  True story of the Alvarez Belón family spending their 2004 holiday in Thailand during the tsunami.

Take tissues; it was nice to be awed by the magnificence of the human spirit.

  1. Ooh, looks intense.
Gosh, I cannot tell you the LAST movie I've seen in a theater... oh, wait. Maybe... 2008? That Disney Princess Frog movie? Someone took a group of us because.. well, I don't know why. But, I haven't seen a movie since, and prior to that it was the first Transformers movie.

After all the drama of academy and the movie debate, and movie-ing myself to death in my early twenties, I don't even bother going anymore. Funny, that.

  2. It was visceral. I thought it impacted me because I haven't seen many films in the theatre lately, but the entire room reacted throughout. I felt nauseated, fear, tenseness....even though I KNEW someone survived or else the story wouldn't have been told. It's a movie that sticks with one. Well worth the admission!
