a day in the life of a diva

Diva flowers:  my favorite bit of the concert.  Well, that and losing 8 pounds through perspiring like crazy.  It's not all glamor and glitter.  For what it was, it was a lovely concert~we covered songs from the standard musicals:  Look to the Rainbow, Getting to Know You, My Favorite Things, Oh What a Beautiful Mornin', Chim-chiminey, Put on a Happy Face, Wink and a Smile, Wouldn't It Be Loverly, Blue Moon, Sunrise, Sunset, If I Were a Rich Man and an all-school finale of So Long, Farewell.

No one fell off the risers.  One lost tooth and one bloody nose occurred off stage.  And now on to graduation rehearsals....

  1. I forgot that you have to look forward to children falling off of risers. THAT used to happen every year, and sadly, was not limited to elementary or primary school - inevitably some proto-anorexic would take it into her head not to eat and to wear five-inch-heels. Oh, good times.

    1. Yeah, I pre-empted that conversation by saying FLATS ONLY. End of talking.

  2. Are you sure you didn't push one of your cherubs off the risers? :)

    1. Unfortunately, the ones who needed it were already standing on the floor. And figured it was bad form to kick them in front of all the parents.
