la fête de l'anniversaire de

The very careful drive back from the baker's with the hunny pot!

Efficiency at it's best~he could empty his toy bucket in one fell swoop.

The pet~caught white-handed trying to help with the balloons.

Birthday boy and Mama getting things prepped for the party.

Have always been amused how children love the empty boxes, bubble wrap and the trappings from their gifts.

Really not sure about this refined sugar thing.  Nor a room full of large people singing a strange song at him.

Cupcake was a little more doable.

Shriek of laughter over the finger o' frosting reaction.

It's not a party until someone's wearing some food.

My gift to remind him of his Fatherland ~Daddy is a Texan.

Apres-frosting/bathing, tasting the new puzzle piece.

Wish that I would be around when he's 91 to see if he still has wild hairs.

  1. Poor kid. For some reason first year birthday parties always have their share of tears and bewilderment. Honestly, one day someone will take me up on my suggestion that there just be empty boxes and no singing! Happy kid, then. Bit anticlimactic for everyone else...
