A student brought me some homemade saffron ice cream today! First time I've ever tried it~it was like eating frozen flowers. Such a gorgeous colour~think it would be delicious after a spicy meal.
I've never been able to figure out the flavor of saffron - in rice, it's just... yellow. Which tells me I'm not getting it fresh enough, or putting in enough, or something.
This weekend I had soursop sorbet, and I am now addicted.
Yeah~it was interesting to taste and a couple of spoonfuls after a spicy meal would be good. It was a little strange to be eating something that tasted like lotion/soap~not unpleasant, just unusual.
